Greece, Aegean Sea, Cyclades, Naxos Island – Stelida Area
Imagine a place where the sandy shores of the Mediterranean meet verdant landscapes, alluring rock formations and amazing gastronomy. This is what the villas of the Naxian Luxury Collection promise to visitors in an idyllic environment that’s fit for a king yet better suited to the bohemian bourgeois.
Breathtaking views of Naxos town and its castle, beaches that can be reached by foot, an organic vegetable garden, a well-guarded wine cellar and sublime private or semi-private pools under the bluest Cycladic skies – this is what awaits visitors to this alluring property which artfully blends sophistication with relaxed island hospitality.
Naxos, in the meantime, is a true paradise for Mediterranean culinary delights, windsurfing escapades, enchanting nature hikes, little galleries, surprising museums, archeological treasures and Byzantine mysteries. The property’s owners, will go out of their way to help you uncover the best of Naxos, simply because they’re as passionate about their island as they are about their gorgeous villas. Rest assured, a stay at the Naxos Luxury Collection is going to be an experience of a lifetime.
Get ready for a Greek island experience like no other. As soon as you arrive to the minimalist glass lobby of the property, you’ll be impressed by the serenity of the Naxian Luxury Collection, the views to the sea and the surrounding green hills. A handful of Cycladic-type villas on two floors dressed in white come with their private or semi-private pools surrounded by nature, including protected cedar trees. Granite boulders from nearby ancient quarries lie majestically on the rolling green hills, not far from the organic garden whose fresh ingredients find their way into the daily menu. You’ll also notice some intriguing yet simplistic marble sculptures that decorate the grounds, made from local Naxian marble and crafted by local artists. Don’t let the imperfect lawns perplex you: they’re completely natural, free of pesticides and safe for children, in line with the property’s green philosophy. As you walk through the grounds, you can’t help but admire the two protected cedar trees, and if you look around the property to the nearby hills you’ll spot a few more of these. After all, this island is known as the greenest of the Cyclades!
Prepare yourself for an extraordinary culinary experience like no other. Naxos, the most fertile of the Cyclades and abundant in water, is famous for its authentic flavors, products and dishes. Aromatic Mediterranean herbs, organic vegetables from the property, the purest local honey, superlative olive oil, free-range chickens and the choicest meats all conspire to take you on a gastronomic journey that will remind you what real cuisine and slow food are all about. The island is also famous for its fine potatoes, tomatoes, herbs, vegetables, cheeses and wild goat meat, as well as amazingly good bread. Keep in mind that the Naxian Luxury Collection often bakes its own bread in the wood-burning oven on the property, and also has an excellent relationship with one of the best traditional bakeries on the island.
Breakfast. Ready for a gourmet morning? Here’s an a-la-carte breakfast that will keep you powered all day long. Fantastic omelets with fresh vegetables, tomato and feta cheese, certified free-range eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice, sweet pastries and savory pies of the day, and thick Greek yoghurt served with award-winning organic local honey to begin with. The savory pies or ‘pitas’ as they are known in Greece are made with hand-kneaded phyllo dough, then filled with organic and local ingredients (delicious Naxian cheeses are among these). Lastly, a fine selection of local herbal teas but also premium imported tea blends will delight you, so will a good coffee of your choice. This is one breakfast you’re certainly going to tell your friends about.

Dinner, which falls against the sunset in summer, is an especially enjoyable experience if ordered in advance. Local Cycladic and Mediterranean cuisine with a gourmet spin will thrill the palate, enhanced with herbs, organic vegetables and free-range chicken or meat. Every now and then the owners host surprise barbecue nights that you might be lucky enough to be part of, especially during busy periods.
