1st Day, Rome: Arrive in Rome, transfer to the hotel for check in and have the remainder of the day free to relax and get a first picture of the Eternal city. Welcome dinner and overnight.


2nd Day, Rome: Following breakfast today you will get introduced to the city of Rome. Your tour begins with a visit to the Audience Hall at Vatican City for an audience with the Pope, followed by a visit to the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, continuing to the churches of St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran. Your tour in ending by visiting the Catacombs of St. Callistus and the Basilica of St. Paul’s Outside the Walls. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.


3rd Day, Rome – Assisi: This morning we will leave Rome for Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. You will visit the basilica bearing his name and containing his tomb. You will also have the opportunity to see the Basilica of St. Claire, the Church of St. Damian, the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Porziuncola. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.

4th Day, Siena – Florence: We depart from Assisi to the picturesque medieval city of Siena, the birthplace of Saint Catherine and Saint Bernardine, You will visit the Piazza Del Campo, the Cathedral Duomo and the Basilica of St. Domenico. Our day’s trip is following by Florence. One of the most breathtaking and artistic cities in the world. The magnificent Santa Maria Del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery’s heavy bronze “Gate of Paradise” and the sculpture-studded Signoria Square are only some of the great monuments that you will visit. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.


5th Day, Florence – Padua: Following breakfast today some free morning time to have a last walk in Florence, we depart for Padua, the birthplace of St. Anthony. You will visit the basilica that bears his name and contains his richly decorated tomb. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.


6th Day, Padua – Venice: This morning we will leave Padua for Venice. As we arrive in Venice we start getting to know the city with a walking tour. Venice is built on 177 islands, 150 canals and 400 bridges. Among others you will visit the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doges’ Palace. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.


7th Day, Venice – Athens: Following breakfast today we transfer to the Venice Airport for the flight to Greece. Arrival in Athens and transfer to the hotel for check in. We begin our introduction to the city of Athens with a tour which includes the famous Parthenon, the Erechteum, and a visit to Mars’ Hill (or Areopagus) (Acts 17:22), where the Apostle Paul delivered his well-known sermon. The tour continues with classic highlights of Athens, such as the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Parliament House, Presidential Palace, Panathenian Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus and the National Library.


8th Day, Athens – Delphi – Arachova: This morning we will depart towards the mainland of Greece with destination Delphi. On our way to Delphi we will stop to the monastery of St. Loukas and to the picturesque village of Mt. Parnassos: Arachova. Arriving in Delphi we will visit the oracle site and the unique Archaeological Museum, including the famous statue of the Charioteer. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.


9th Day, Delphi – Kalampaka – Meteora: Following breakfast today we depart from Delphi to drive towards Kalambaka. We will visit two of the most famous and breathtaking monasteries in Meteora, built on the cliffs overlooking the plain of Thessaly. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.

10th Day, Meteora – Vergina – Veria – Thessaloniki: Departure from Kalambaka to reach Vergina, the Tomb chamber of King Philip, father of Alexander the Great. Drive via Veria visited by St Paul (stop to visit St Paul’s monument as well as the Byzantine museum). Dinner in a selected ouzo place with Greek appetizers. Evening free. Overnight in Thessaloniki.


11th Day, Thessaloniki: Morning city tour by coach to visit the Old Walls of the city, the churches of St. Demetrius, Ag. Sophia, city wall fortifications, the Rotunda, the Arch of Galerius, St. David, Panagia Archeiropoitos, the newly renovated Archaeological Museum and the Byzantine Museum. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.


12th Day, Thessaloniki – Mount Athos (Cruise): In the morning we leave Thessaloniki and drive to Ouranoupolis in Chalkidiki. Upon arrival a cruise ship will take us along the west coast of Mount Athos. Along the way you will see Europe’s most unique 1000-year old Monastic Republic. Today approximately 2000 male monks live on this Holy Mountain and follow strict Byzantine rules and rituals. We will have the oportunity to see the monastery of Souroti where father Paisios lived. Early in the afternoon, our boat will return us to the quaint fishing village of Ouranoupolis for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We will return to Thessaloniki in the early afternoon. Evening free. Dinner and overnight.


13th Day, Thessaloniki – Return flight: Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
